Meet Amy

My name is Amy Smith and I have over 17 years experience in Human Resources Management and people leadership at both an operational and strategic level. As a HR professional and leader, my key passion and purpose is to partner with businesses to achieve better business outcomes by maximising their peoples' potential. I am a true believer that innovative, bespoke people strategy and strong, authentic leadership is the key to protecting and fully utilising a business' most valuable asset and investment - their people. 

 

I have a Bachelor of Business (Industrial Relations/ Human Resources), a Post Graduate Certificate in Management and I am an accredited Prosci Change Practitioner.

I have experience across a broad range of disciplines including performance management, leadership development, employee and industrial relations, talent acquisition and management, change management, diversity strategies, remuneration and benefits, and HR systems and frameworks. I have also worked in a number of diverse industries, on a National and Multi-National basis, including Banking, Insurance, Not for Profit, Retail, Transport and Distribution and FMCG. 

I have held several senior positions including Manager of HR Strategic Partnerships at Newcastle Permanent Building Society, Head of Group People Services at nib health funds and Group People Relations Manager at Super Retail Group. 

 

In 2019, I started my own people consulting business using my diverse and unique blend of experience to support businesses to achieve their goals.
